It's not free to use, in fact, it's 100% illegal to use this is why I said funny. We all did it just to find the term "free band" funny. I fully understand that in some parts of the world, these frequencies are legal to use. CB should have been VHF as it was originally planned to be.

Yeah, that's what I don't like about them. I use an Astatic 1104c on a Yaesu 101zdmkIII and have received nothing but good reports.

You are missing the Super Side Kick which I consider their best although I never liked the sound from any Turner.

What exactly are you asking about? The display, the information on the display, or what Icom will convert to 11 meters? The Icom 7300 has a display like that.

Keep it off 11 meter AM, if you want to run SSB then yes use it. I was recommending it to the OP for ham use not 11 meters swinging.

Got it! The 718 is the rig I recommend most often, it doesn't have a lot of bling but its a good solid radio.
