too bad you do not have a audio tracer so you could follow the traces and see just where the audio is dropping out. at least that is what I do to find low audio situations.

well after about 1 hour I tore it down and changing position with the 2 clamps worked just fine. now just to get some oil and see how well it works. thanks for your suggestions guy's.

I watched several of them last night but none are the cantena dummy load, total different animal. most of the ones on you tube are a bunch of resisters and mine just has one large unit for the resister.

Nomad have you found a seller for the freq counter that is fairly cheap. I use to buy them from China for about 3.00 each and now they are about 8.00 for them now from China. I may have over looked a seller that is less than 8.00.
