OK all you microphone gurus out there, I have some questions for you. Would a 4-pin female yaesu FT-101 to 8-pin male Kenwood mic adapter allow me to use Kenwood mics such as The MC-50, MC-60 or the MC-85 on my Galaxy DX159 CB? :confused:

Is anyone here using audio equalizers to improve either the receive audio, transmit audio or both? If so, what brand are you using? :confused:

Does anyone here own a Robyn SB-520D? If so, would you measure the width of the radio and leave the answer here. I just bought one and need to make room on my radio desk for it before it arrives and cannot find any specs online. :unsure:

I know that everything that you put between the radio and antenna causes some signal loss. I have an MFJ swr/watt meter in line and wonder if the loss is great enough that I should remove it? Any thoughts or experiences on this issue? o_O

Robb, I've built more than a few antennas myself, mostly for shortwave listening so I know what you mean about the satisfaction gained from DIY! I like to experiment with antennas and although sometimes my ideas don't work, it's still great fun.:D
