seems to get out good and very good receive some guy from texes was bleeding 4 channels over man he must have been running some serious power to do that, think it will be good for shooting skip with....so far I am happy...
And guess what I found today laying in the ally a trailer hitch bar that fits my tailer mount now all I have to do is weld the washer that I picked up on the hitch to fill in the hole and ill have my skookum antenna mount....
think your message was good karma for me man...
unfortunate for me that was all they had at the time..
So I'm on a quest for something more skookum may even make something up myself if I can't find anything here in town...
OK here is what I came up with got the match to 1.7

Here is the antenna mount I don't like it I will be looking for a stronger mounting bracket as this one puts to much presser on the screws were it mounts on the truck body...
ok my readings are were thay cross are right on the bottom think im somewere around 1.7 for a match maybe?
but since both needles moved so little that reading is still up in the air as far as im concerned... Ill try and get a swr meter photo to show you guys in the next couple of days...
oh man that really makes it tough to figure out then as thay cross so low on the meter it could span a hole range of numbers as thay all come together at the bottom shesh wish I would have found just a 1 needle swr meter now...
how do you read SWR meter do you use the right needle as the SWR reading or do you use were both needles cross together as the SWR reading?
the only ones I have used up till now only had one needle...
The choke I ordered and finally got in were made specifically for the CB freq smaller than I thought it was going to be but put one as close as I could to the fuel pump along with the suppressor and then another choke as close to the radio as I could.. its just awesome from an 8-1/2 down to...
I am just wondering if the ham rigs are multi band like from 2 to 80 or something inbetween as I am interested but if I have to get a rig for every band that would be kind of expensive to get into ham...

I am putting a CB on my Quad and was wondering what if anything could be done to waterproof the CB the only thing I can come up with is using a large zip lock bag with holes for cords to go through and tape up the holes to the wires anyone have a better...

OK I have a quite radio now I have to check if its even on now its that quiet...
what I did: grounded exhaust pipe- why I noticed it really cut down on some of the noise when it was rainy and wet...

I understand that it would deteriate over time but that would be meny years down the road wouldent it?and easy to replace..
just was thinking that since it is more flexible than metal that it would take a few hits/bend on low bridges so to speek and would not have to worry as much if I hit...
the dipole I wonder if I could just lay it on the roof racks horizontaly or does it need to be vertial to get any range out of it..
so that would be a folded dipole then that I want to make right!
