    Sirio 2745

If-en it does wind load break, this is where it will: There's a pressed in and glued brass pin that goes up inside the bottom of the vertical and high wind forces can cause the leverage of that long tube to break right there at the top of that pin. FEAR NOT! It's an easy fix. Ask me how I...

    Measure once, cut twice.......

I've done lots of those kinds of things. I have heard "The only people who don't make mistakes are people who"... I used to hear, "never do anything" but even THAT is a mistake. I've learned not to get upset even when it's doozy. :( Seems like you have too. hopefully long before I did.

    Copper Electronics

Just about everything I have bought from them has been suspiciously refurbished and not well. Meters broken, radios with bad solder. Only one of 5 or so orders was without issue. They also have a NO RETURN policy. My recommendation: Stay away. They also do not allow critical product reviews to...

XIEGU G90 - feedback from long term users

I don't think it makes a good mobile. Probably a great POTA or a SOTA box with an MFJ QRP loop or equivalent. I find the way the RIT works is cumbersome.

    Cobra 148gtl transmit died

I thought the same but my issue has come closer to the surface of my remembering. :) It started out as no xmit and became no power on with a sticky volume switch. Then Larry fixed it by replacing the volume/power switch. IIRC. I do KNOW there was nothing else done because Larry lets us watch...
