I have a homemade dipole that has been giving me some trouble. No matter how I add or subtract lengths on either side I still have high swr. Tried 2 different feed lines (rg58) still not down where I want it. It gets 1.5 with the amp off and 3.0 with the amp on. It talks all over. Good contacts...

Ok good news! I set the deadkey to 2.5 watts, I only lost around 1-2 watts on the swing. It puts out around 400 now but now I can rest a little easier now.. I can live with that.. Thanx guys!!

Will the high deadkey hurt the amp? Cause people cant tell that I turned the amp on. It just gets better DX...

I was in the amp section and From what I can gather I need to bring my deadkey down on my Grant XL. What can I do? It dead keys around 8 watts. If I bring the power down on the radio I loose wattage. The Amp will do 450+ with 20 watts swing from the radio, less than that it goes down...

HAARP. Has been an ongoing project for years. I forget how many watts they pump into the atmospere but it has to have proven to be effective to a certain point or it would have been scrapped long ogo.. Thats just one project, who knows how many secret projects there are..

That could be true but "DP" is still a hazardous material that is no longer usefull in creating steam, but still is radioactive however it is still harmfull to a certain point. You can't just throw it out int a landfill with your trash. It still needs to be prepared to make these bullets you...
