Well, I received my President Lincoln ll+ and it seems to be doing really well. Was told by a couple truckers it sounds really good and clean. Walcott sent a letter with it saying they tested it with a scope and something else but can't remember what they called it. Will have to dig the box out...
Thanks. I don't know why but I had him pictured in his late 60's for some reason.
He is an arrogant one I agree.
He must have money to move and live all over the place. (Must be from those who never got a radio when ordering one or, those who sent in a radio and money and never got it back)...
How old of a feller is Fine tune?
Doesn't he know any better?
Has he never grew up?
I've seen a few of his videos, heard him bragging but, other than that, just what I've read here.
Just how old is the guy? Anyone know?
Just got a text message saying my President Lincoln ll V3 will be delivered today. Will immediately send it to Stu in Clyde NY at https://dxradioshopny.com
and have the alignment checked and get the best and cleanest modulation possible out of it. So, it will be another few days before I get to...
An oldie but a goodie!
Looking for the old "golden Shovel", again.
On mine I ran the power directly to the battery positive and the ground to a bolt under the hood that goes straight into the front driver side fender.
Works great. Never a problem.
(Especially if you get into the habit of...
"There’s a menu function to choose either electret or condenser type microphones."
Does the new President Lincoln ll V3 also have this option? Can anyone let me know??
Thanks.
Oh I won't. Will probably just do conversion and that's it. Will send it to Stu in Clyde, New York. Have him make sure alignment is spot on and do the conversion and make sure that everything looks good.
I had bought 50 ft of LMR-400UF to put on an outside antenna but, my landlord won't allow one.
So, I cut off a little over 15 ft of it and ran it in my mobile to the big home made steel mount and 5/8 hole for the breedlove mount I use for my 102" SS Whip and 7 ft Skip Shooter.
I know it's...
Well, I just "bit the bullet, pulled the trigger", on a new President Lincon ll V3.
Ordered from Walcott. My only other order from them a while back was a 17" shaft extender.
Now, I can't wait to get the radio and try it out.
Hope it has clear modulation! That's my greatest concern.
Made 2 good contacts from here in South Central Missouri this morning to the 213 in Central California and the 549 in Washington State.
On my Larsen NMO27B antenna.
Coming back from the grocery store, channel 28.
I found a page here called, "Why 50 ohms?"
I know 50 ohm cable is what most of us use but, trying to understand calculations and figures on this page just blowed my mind!
Some of you might understand a lot of this and/or, may have already read it. Thought it might interest some of you...
