No problem with mine either, set the filter for 10 mile radius and display for something like two seconds. Still haven't passed anyone on the highway kicking out their signal, been within a mile or so.

I'll echo those same kudos to RT Systems, I've got their programming software for every radio I have. I think they live in front of their computers 24/7, seems everytime I tossed a question out I got the answer back in minutes compared to days with many support techs.

N1LUL, when you use RT Systems programming software be certain check your radio menu settings. If you open a new page and cut and paste freqs, the menu setting can go back to the defaults. This especially happens if you make changes at the radio and don't copy that back to the computer. Doing...

I just sent Panflute an email, when I tried his -7 and -9 neither showed up on APRS.FI. His regular call showed up though. So I'm betting you hit it too.

Bummer to hear its still not showing a popup. I tested the delete process Moleculo suggested and the popups appear on its first appearance and not on the succeeding transmissions. The quest for an answer remains!

I agree, here's what I did though. Rather than program it on my small laptop I sent the exported list to my desktop via email. Opened a new 350 file and dumped the frequencies into it. Saved it off on a jump drive, retrieved it onto the laptop and sent the new file to the radio. My APRS data...

I didn't get a chance to try mine out again today, but did find another hiccup! I did some recent programming of frequencies on the 350 at my desktop after importing them from my laptop in Excel format. Then wrote the updated file to a jump drive, put it on the laptop and updated the radio...

I fired up my VX-8 today and it has the GPS attached. No popups on my 350 either. I'm curious if it makes a difference if they are in the same location. Both in the truck moving around in unison, maybe? I might try giving my radio to someone else to drag around and see if the movement...

Sounds like your filters are keeping it out, I have mine set to only signals within 10 miles and others for the moment because I was getting slammed to the point of distraction. Check your email, I sent a snapshot of the beacon screen from the programming software. It might help.

Mine is set for R Band Fix, I did this because I use the APRS on right side only. When it was not fixed on that side, I turned beaconing on and slammed the local repeater from the opposite band. Shoot me an email and I'll send you two jpg's of my settings. skysho@comcast.net

The dual receive works fine within the same band. I'm trying to read through your message to try and figure it out. Did you buy the RT Systems programming cable and software? If you did i could send my settings for you to compare.

I've noticed that when it happens to be receiving a transmission, you'll receive a TX Error. So it'll skip the scheduled beacon and fire off on the next one, provide you're not recieving. Especially when the radio is set for RX/TX on the same bank (R or L). I set my radio to only receive...

You need to change E16 Data Band Select, the default is to send the APRS out over the sub-band (the one where the triangle isn't). So if you select the R-Band Fix, it will transmit only on the right side. Hope that helps, I aggravated a noon time net for two days until I realized net control...
