I am running 144.390 on the right side as a memory channel sending beacons every 2 mins. On the left side I switch between 146.520 (memory) and a local repeater (also memory), but predominately on the call channel. So far I haven't suffered a lock up. Maybe I'll let it run overnight and see...

I left mine on all day with APRS on and on the simplex freq, used it a few times. No lock ups, however I filtered down the beacon receive to a 10 mile radius.

Uh oh...something isn't right. I've only had mine on with APRS functioning for an hour or less. When I leave today I'll turn it on and keep the radio on all day if I'm able and let it beacon more frequently to see if anything happens. I will flip the other band over to a simplex freq too...

Did you have to do full reset or was just powering it down able to get it back in operation? Also I noticed on RT Systems website they expect to have the programming software for the VX-8AD done in about 4 weeks and the FTM-350 shortly after that.
