Amateurs.
Apparently you missed the eBay auction for the Flamin' Hot Cheeto that was in a shape that resembled that Gorilla Harambe - That one little Cheeto sold for over $99,000. We are a nation of scammers and imbeciles. Welcome to the future.
Lescomm is probably going to discontinue selling them since he can't hack them up and install his expander kits in them like he does the old platform Galaxy CB's he sells.
I see nothing on the Uniden site about discontinuing the 980.
The front end on the HR2510 is as wide as my ex's hiney! It has a 5 kHz wide IF filter. Talk about noisy. I always wondered why the receiver on my HTX-100 (3 kHz wide) was noticeably better.
They did that for AM mode in the 2500 knowing the radio would be modded for CB. The HTX-100 was...
That's because not all MRI's are the same. Different parts of the body and different procedures drive the cost. MRI's can run from $300 - to over $5000.
A female PL-259 is called an SO-239. Diploes for vhf/uhf frequencies would be very small and wouldn't work very well mounted horizontally. Follow w9cll's advise and pick up a discone or other outdoor scanner antenna. I think Radio Shack still sells one.
Someone should snatch this up. The GM4 has been the mic I've used on my main operating position(many different hf radios) for the last 15 years. I think it's one the best mics Bob Heil ever produced.
I have to remember this logic if I ever get pulled over again. No officer I didn't really run the red light, I merely transported myself and my vehicle to the other side of the intersection by manipulating the surrounding space-time continuum.
Those six sets of dual trucker antennae are now vintage and rare- plus having been made in the 70's will talk farther that any similar antenna made today. They may even increase one's "loudness" if you get my drift. Sell those puppies on eBay and use the proceeds to buy yourself a good...
You're doing everything right but I think you're comparing apples to oranges. My adding an IF tap kit to my FTDX- 1200 is slightly different than installing a super whack thunder blaster atomic swing kit (resistor and electrolytic cap) to a Cobra 29. Just sayin.
And I quote " it carry a good look it has that nice snack look on the box and the insind is very different then any box i no thats out thair,"...
I think my Al -811H has a nice snack look.
I know what your talking about and there was a post on the Zed about how it worked. I've listened to myself on 40 meters using a web sdr somewhere in MD. Just playing with the eq on my rig and comparing amp on, amp off signal strength. It was interesting but I felt a little odd doing it...
