I definitely don't feel like installing an OS (whether it be XP, or W7) just because this *&%#@ program is leaving behind some file or files on my computer after being uninstalled.
I'd much rather find the offending data and get rid of it , install the damn program, and get on with my day...
I am having trouble getting rid of HRD from my computer. I am running XP.
I ran the add/remove programs and it went fine. Then got rid of the program folder in Program Files/HRD software LLC folder. Then got rid of the Simon Brown folder in USERS/ME/Application Data.
There is some vestigial...
I finally got around to re-doing my office/shack/computer room.
What an ordeal! I had put things together in a real hodge-podge way when we moved out here. I had only one outlet to work with, so I had this daisy-chain of outlet strips and surge suppressors. Also, odd, mis-matched desks...
Glad to hear this. My city (Champaign, IL) is one that asserts that you can be arrested and prosecuted for videotaping the cops.
Any thinking person can see what is wrong with that, constitutionally.
When you are in public, you are subject to being photographed, recorded, videotaped, etc...
I have 2 computers where I have installed cards like this. One is a 4 port, the other is a 2 port. They both work perfectly and I had no problems with installing them.
Maybe backscatter mode could work. Get beams and point them both to the SE in the early morning right around sunrise. It won't always work, but I know several people in the midwest who used to do this.
I have had success talking about 110 miles, but only a couple of times. Both times...
A few years ago (probably on this forum) there was a link to a site that had detailed info on how to build basically exact replicas of a few commercial antennas, the PDLII among them. It showed and described how to build the "orbital gamma match" and all that.
Unfortunately, I don't remember...
To be honest, I never listened to the difference after moving the Collins 2.5 to the TX side. I had bought it with the rig and used it in the RX until I got the Inrad 2.1 . I just figured it was better than the factory TX filter. I get good responses to my TX audio from other hams, so it...
Of those 3, I'd pick the FT-847. I've had mine since 2001, and I love it. I have a 2.1 Khz Inrad crystal filter in the RX, and a Collins 2.5 Khz mechanical filter in the TX.
Awesome rig, does everything I want it to do, it works well with HRD. I have a Tini-cat 847 interface with it for...
That's no lie. When I first got my SSTV setup working properly I was up for like 24 hours! "Just one more pic...."
When I finally went to sleep I was still hearing that "deedle-deedle dee-dee" opening sound in my head!
