The plots are nice !
Amazing what can be "measured" isnt it ?
Perhaps its usefull if in the future you could provide additional data:
For example:
1- Is it measured at the feedpoint or coax attached to it ?
2- It migth be interesting to watch the 2;1 swr bandwidth.
As often the SWR bandwidth...
Hello,
What kind of antenna is it ?
The 11-4 gives an indication its a 4el yagi ?
Couldnt find any info on google.
If that is the case, im probarbly able to help you with dimensions.
But i will need to know the individual element diameters and boomlength , type of matching a couple of...
What about that woodpecker system ?
Allthough this is in the cb-antenna section perhaps ham/etc those dont count :-)
If only for 27mhz ;

if u know anything larger for cb im really interested.
kind regards h.

The price you mention, it actually made me look several times to re-read again.
It is far..far too expensive.
If u need anything..drop me an email.
Kind regards,

Hello Guys,
The quaser has been discussed by G3TXQ.
He wrote something int the line of:
That a coaxial Q section has more loss than a coil.
So, yes...there maybe no coil, and no loss there, however...
The Q section which is there to match the antenna will provide more loss.
Im missing that...
owh almost forgot...
the richard and benjamin are quite frequently for sale on:
www.marktplaats.nl

Think one of the sellers has a benjamin as well...
Thanks for the reply jazzsinger !
Sadly, you wont find any "real" pictures of an adams VFO on google.
The pictures provided are all copied from an add.
Or the pictures relate to the standard adams in one way or another.
The only "real" proof is a film made by "erik".
That adams vfo came from...
Hello,
I still needed to upload some pictures..
Thats the madision...
with an old home made vfo unit.
And a couple days ago i finally found a orignal president adams vfo.
It has some work, as the bottom of the digits isnt working, and the ligth behind the s-needle isnt working...but im...
Hello,
Sorry it took me a bit longer, had 3 exams last week, but the most important thing :
I picked-up a president adams VFO last nigth, just so happy with that last one !
Anyway...Tnx for the clarification CK !

Hello Captain Kilowatt,
I was not expecting an answer like that from a you as a person or as a staff member.
Either you did know ...but in that case an answer like:
"owh, yes...almost forgot! Tnx ! Indeed, sometimes most current lies in the prasitic elements like the 1st director.
Or you didnt...
Not wanting to irritate you, but as you you mention ...you cant "see" this happening.
Well, we have a >50 percent change that is correct...totally agree.
But do we know for a fact ?
It all depends on the design he is using.
I have seen and measured it many times.
As stated above wheter or not...
Hello,
No guru either....but very enthousiastic :)
Take a look at your antenna like this:
Example:
Your radiator has a "resonant" frequency of 27.0 Mhz
now, the directors are shorter...so the individual resonant frequency will be sligthly higher. If we would take the directors away from the...
The topic starter is asking about the gpe and gps antennas of sirio.
the tornado is at different antenna.
it seems to be a step up from those others, from a electrical aswell a mechanical point of view.
Some seem to be "fixed" on length...
There seems to be a "magical" 0,625 wavelength or 0,64 I forgot who wins the price. Claims are: that maxes the "best" radiator etc.
If anyone thinks they can measure the difference between 0,64 or 0,625 wl in signal strength, i recommend to think again...
Hello Guys,
Thanks for your enthousiasme, it is indeed lots of fun !
Freq's tend to be between 27.4 and 27.7 mHz, all in USB.
However, it is possible to hear some in other modes and away from that freq bandwidth.
Wise would probarbly be to lissen on 27,555 (int call freq) and move away...
Hello Guys,
upcomming weekend we have the ISLAND FESTIVAL again.
Last year there were about 60 different islands active.
(iota/iwi etc)
The counter is already between 40/50 and im guessing it will hit above 60 this year.

Modeling (when done correctly)
Is more accurate than 99 percent of the antenna users can measure.
Often one will read, well...yes but in real live things are different !
And yes most certainly "things' will effect SWR etc.
But if we have modelled two different antennas, wouldnt for...
