Well I think I have Schematics for the older 29's somewhere but not this newer style with tda2030 any idea what transistor acts as the mic preamplifier?
Have this on the bench with the tda2003 audio chip I have rx audio just fine no tx audio at all.
Not even the pa shows any tx audio any ideas? Half burned out audio chip I think they run the tda2003 in bridge mode
could half be tx half rx?
Ok back to another question that was raised here earlier maybe 3 pages back has anyone tried the new 2030+ or the hg1969+ I'm here there is one of those out now as well from hg.
Old Thread but here goes I have a v2 of the 980 on the bench with UFZ24NL final in it would there be any benefit in swapping in a 520? Pick up any out put The 880 I have with the irf520 does way better out put than this thing.
Yeah I'm aware of that I used an hg1969 in a cobra 21xlr a few years actually and there was a ceramic cap removal or change I found trolling the net on that to change and with it and the newer 1957 driver and might have changed the predriver to 941 also. soon as I did whatever it was on the cap...
I think they would likely work just fine in an ssb radio like that yes where we aren't doing a bunch of forward swing like on the 29's. I know the fet can handle it on the 29's which is why I was hoping someone could point me the right direction for those on this or help with adding the rfx75...
Yep I'm aware of all that Nomad this was the thought either the rfx75 to pick up some out put or mosfet conversion don't seem much info in the way of that on these old 858 non ssb rigs. My locals around here all run lower channels on am so great radio for that but not much out put for these old...
Anyone got any ideas for how to make this happen I know on the 29 ltds and such you tie it in at the final just
was hoping maybe someone had an idea how to pull this one off since the radio has extra channels and stuff already.
So I replaced the echo board the original was EPT0SSB50B this radio only had the flip switch for echo did away with that added newer style board from 2517 the newer board doesn't use the extra plug with the orange and red wire a the other end of the board. the pic of it on cb tricks isn't...
If I wanted to mono band I would need an isolated variable cap like the others in there already right not one that goes to the case of the tunable cap like something out of a d&a amp to hook the input off the broken band switch out out put through.
