    The point of this exercise was to see if a vfo wind up could be added cause that's all the rage these days. but from what I see that's a no go. And I know everyone thinks they are dumb but that's what lots of people want now so it is what it is and a moot point now.

    Thanks' for the link I do now so there is no vr to adjust the tx frequency independent of the cans From what I just saw there like say a Washington or 148 vr5 or v3 I think it was on those. That just confirms what I suspected.

    Anyone now what pot adjust the tx frequency I'm aware that rv50 centers the clarifier but my hop is there is also one to adjust tx frequency on the main board it self.

    Problem is the newer radio aren't even a real heatsink anymore no aluminum just sheet metal.

    Well the audio chip on these xlr are pretty damn hard to find these days seems like that Swiss radio guy did a video on YouTube once to switch to the Toshiba but it didn't stick around long wish I would have downloaded it at the time.

    They ain't worth a shit for 29's like ltd with the tip120 type mod you'll pop them pretty quick. thus why I would rather do a fet on this than those. Might be fine for ssb radios but not this application In my opinion.

    I have one doing this randomly then it will work fine again for a while It seems to be unlocking for sure not just the counter rolling cause if someone is in the middle of talking they are just instantly gone. Any ideas or just start with the crystal?

    Yeah not sure what I'm doing wrong I connect the probe to any pin on L21 the counter just rolls around 59hmz or so can't get solid reading in any mode moved past that tried to get reading off of test point 3 also wont read anything in any mode keyd or unkeyed
