I'm going to assume this is an agc issue I have to have the volume full boar to hear any normal static i can hear my locals blasting me out of the chair when they key up. When the other stations I talk to 20 miles out key up I can hardly tell some one had recapped the radio with junk Chinese...
Really I was under the assumption that the noise filter was some kinda hi cut and that with a narrower filter it would pick up less hash and trash as well as bleed over.

Old old post I see but I have one of these that will do 100 watts till you talk on it about 30 seconds then it warms up and get 300 ish out weak tube maybe? The filter caps have been changed also the 1000uf by on the back of the rear final tube.

Old post I know any know how to hook up a galaxy counter to one of these for use with the extra channels the points all the wires get soldered too in this case I know thare are instructions around for the newer 148 and Washington but haven't seen any for this or older 858 based Washington
Sonoma the bb2 has a loose yellow wire next to the power wired for the board as well as a loose red wire on the potentiometer for echo control maybe it's used to break power to the board not sure but it's not the same as the l2n you posted I had some of those to they are easy to hook up
