Bias design, amplifier design, filtering etc.

I have been on this forum for years man. I just did not post for about a year or so and I lost my original status:confused1: I wish there was a way to fix that but maybe not. This forum original started I believe about 10 or so years ago and I was a member from then on. CDX#10 by default.

    Help Need Your Input

Against what a lot of people may tell you I would not drive the 2 pill with more than radio. The outcome will be more appeared power and maybe a very small signal increase but it will be a very small signal increase. If you were using a radio that peaked say 14 watts then you would see more of a...

Bias design, amplifier design, filtering etc.

That thing will have a tendency to oscillate during the spin cycle, if you run on the delicate cycle it is a little easier on the load and seems to smooth out any wrinkles. The main problem with it is that you have to use a noise canceling microphone because the damn thing will produce a lot of...

Bias design, amplifier design, filtering etc.

Good read, I played with this years ago and had issues with the circuit working correctly. It looks good on paper but some of the values that you calculate do not work. A little tweeking and it will work though.

You could use the defrost setting for low power output:biggrin::biggrin:

    Inside a Messenger M1500 FR Turbo (2) drv (8)

That is where it should be grounded. That is as close to the current source as you can get. Here is an older 6 pill that was done that way. This was built in the late 90's.

input sweeping of a snowcap 4 pill video

I will put this way. They were only used for parts. I usually turned the heatsink and around and re-drilled and tapped it. I used to tell people to take the amp out of the case and throw the case in the trash. The pills mounting flanges were usually bent from from improper installation so I...

You cannot measure SSB power without a peak reading meter. It will read totally different than an am signal on an averaging meter.

    palomar 400 high drive

I made a 3 pill one time with 3 1 pill sections like the 1 toshiba specs for a test circuit and combined it with wilkinson style combiners.

    palomar 400 high drive

I would try to keep the forward drive below 30 watts pep. You could drive it with a little more but it will damage the resistors used on the hi/med/low switch and will over drive the amplifier anyway.
