Can someone model 467MHz on MOXGEN?

I'm a little slow and just noticed the vertical polarization I referred to is for the eznec model and has nothing to do with dimensions. So moxgen and the online calculator are showing different results. Hmm

Can someone model 467MHz on MOXGEN?

Thank you! The link you shared has indeed been the closest so far but my results differ. I suspect it's because you were able to choose vertical polarization (thank you). I'll be using the specs from your results but for comparison, here are mine.

Can someone model 467MHz on MOXGEN?

I'm having a heck of a time with the online moxon calculators and can't get moxgen to install on my old linux system. I'm using insulated solid 14AWG. Thanks in advance.

    GMRS 3 element collinear homebrew

1/2 over 1/2 over 1/4. Not sure why I had to lengthen the top element but it sure works good. Also bent the radials down a bit to get the impedance right. Hooked it up to my little Retevis RB27 and made it out of our basement to a repeater 13 miles away with multiple structures in the path. I'll...

Quick and dirty 1/4 GP antenna

A local I talk to also made a J-pole out of 1/2 copper and it worked out really well. He's got it about 40 feet up. I just finished a collinear antenna I'll need to house in something but I heard pvc can detune an antenna.

Quick and dirty 1/4 GP antenna

One thing that's really nice about UHF, the small antennas. Made this little guy the other night. Fun to watch the impedance change with height above ground and nearby objects. VNA sweep is with antenna about six feet above ground outside. Calibrated at the feed point. Able to hit my usual...

NanoVNA H4, what an eye opener

Our four children all chipped in and got dad a NanoVNA H4 for Christmas! What a great tool. I tested all of my mobile antennas yesterday and each one needed some fine tuning to get spot on. I calibrated at the feed point so the NanoVNA was only looking at the antenna. I'd never studied Smith...

    Merry Christmas everyone

All I want for Christmas is to move into our new property and get a proper antenna up in the air. Have a great day!

    TELL US ABOUT YOUR SETUP

Box stock President McKinley in dash barefoot into about 13ft of RG58 with 8 turns around an FT240-61 core at the feedpoint of a 3" Breedlove NMO mount drilled through the roof of my Cherokee. Fat braided cables bonding hood and exhaust. Larsen NMO27 or NMO30BCO coil with 64" whip for mobile...

    Reclaim LSB 16

Heard ya way out there this morning 404 but couldn't make the trip back. Like others, locals on 16AM (whom I know and are totally cool) and bleedover on either side often wipe 16LSB out around here. And then there's the dudes I'm hearing on 40AM and FM that dgaf. Part of it I recon, gotta take...

Made a Moxon for my HT

Besides a stock cb and some walkie talkies as a kid, I've only been into the radio hobby for about a year now. I started experimenting with antennas on 11 meter and they were all horizontal. It was simply an oversight when I built my first antenna for GMRS. I figured it out quick enough. I don't...

    Reclaim LSB 16

WDX-1863 boomed into St Clair, Missouri this morning on 40LSB for about 5 minutes. Tried getting back a few times but the little McKinley didn't have enough throttle. I'll be trying again tomorrow and this weekend. Did talk to some good locals this evening on 16AM so that was cool. Happy...

Made a Moxon for my HT

Got this up 21 feet in the air on a sapling I cut down to clear an old driveway. Works great! I think the professor would be proud.

    11 meter is very quiet?

Made my first DX contact in two weeks with 640 Nevada operator John on 40LSB last night. About an S3 and the only station I heard at the time. Good QSO. Faith in equipment restored...

Made a Moxon for my HT

Did some more testing. Definitely works better vertically. My first test was on identical radios but the one with the telescopic had an almost dead battery doh. Performance is about the same between the two but that's with me holding the moxon over my head and no way to measure swr. Be...

Made a Moxon for my HT

2 hour project. Used 10awg ground wire. Hooked it up to my Retevis RB27 with a 3 ft TNC to PL239 cable. No way to measure SWR but works great and easily hit a repeater I usually have trouble with even with a super smiley telescopic.
