Ok i would like to run a vertical 10or11 (taking foundation soon) meter 4 element yagi but i understand they are not that successful as the mast and coax upsets the pattern i can get a fiberglass pole but that leaves the coax ...i was thinking on a home brew antenna i can make the elements...
was looking at this old beem .never see one ...will it get around the problem of the mast and feeder upsetting the pattern in a vertical beam ?

i just googled the tram and i have had dealings with a very similar antenni in someone's loft and it was pants... it was swapped for a DV27 on a dustbin lid for much better results..the A99 or President Himalaya WB for 1/2 wave but a gain master or a I max don't look a lot more obvious ...if...
i had not herd of the choke a 1/4 wave below a A99 or Imax but it makes sense....the antenne i am most likely to use is a home brew ally 5/8 with ground planes or a sirio vector 4000
i just had a thought...if i have a vertical end fed antenna (say 10-12 meters) will it affect anything in a good or bad way if the coax was feed down the inside of a long 2 inch mast as opposed to being taped to the outside of it ?..i was wondering about CMC
i am very interested in how different antennas matching systems work and how it affects things like bandwidth etc ..so if i am reading what you say correctly ..it must mean a 3/4 wave will match up with no matching device like a 1/4 wave ...if so i did not know that .....obversely if i did i...
how is the sirio tornado 27 matched ??? the coil dont have a tap...its just a coil ...there must be something else...maybe the rod from the feed point to the coil is a capacitor? a tube with a rod up the center ...bit like a non adjustable gammer match ...or am i missing something
i dont no if...
well if the long radials work they work if they don't they don't, i have no ideas how to make them work if they don't work apart from insulating the mast and the choke which is part of the design to combat the currents on the mast and feedline that your models show.. it will not take to long...
I have started construction of my new 11 meter 5/8 wave named the Super 58 Magnum…or S&M for short;)… will have a 5/8 radiator and four ¼ wave horizontal ground radials, insulated from the mast and have a built in coax choke.
It is also going to be tested with the ¼ wave horizontal radial...

I will say whichever is the highest/more in the open will work the best
But just a thought.. if you think you can get away with a stainless steel 9 feet whip.. what if you put your aluminum flag pole up complete with flag and do nothing for 2 weeks....when people have got used to the flag...
In the image above (if its worked i not post image here b4)
you can see a homebrew antenna which should adapted to what you need
I am hopping you have a grass lawn
The main vertical can be your flagpole,if you attach it to a wooden post that will be your insulator ...now you can see that to...
at 96 inch i am guessing its a fiberglass 1/4 wave with no coils etc ...you will not get a better mobile antenna despite the price of other antennas and what manufactures clame
