    AL-811H

I've got a problem with my 811H. Every time I call out CQ I get a pile up. Lol I've learned if your not ready to talk, don't use the amp. I'm totally impressed with this amp. Had a QSO on 40m yesterday that lasted 20 minutes, and the amp was nice and cool putting out 600 watts. This is what I...

    AL-811H

Thanks for the replies, good or bad. I decided to buy one, and it's been in the shack for a week now, and I'm diggin it. Nothing but good reports. It seems to go good wirh my IC 7300. Been using it on 20,40,75,and 160 meters. I'm only feeding it with 60 watts in, and getting 600-700 out. Once...

    11 meter is very quiet?

Skip was Rollin here all day on 11m. It was good to hear it. In fact most bands were in good shape. 10m was unreal.

    AL-811H

Not planning on using it on AM. I have read eham reviews until my eyes were sore, and it looks like a good amp. I will just be using it on the Ham bands. Anyway I do appreciate the feed back from y'all. I know some people have had a bad experience with it, and some like it a lot. I'm still on...

    11 meter is very quiet?

Dang! That's must be some kind of record right there. Good to hear. At least I know mine's not deaf. I will say one thing though, it has survived these E. TN mountain winds for the past 3 years, and we get some serious gusts up here. Got my fingers crossed, and knocking on wood. 73

    11 meter is very quiet?

A very rare event happened today in my part of the world. Voices on AM. I guess my Imax doesn't suck as much as I thought it did. Nice to know it ain't a total POS.

    11 meter is very quiet?

Threw the horizontal wire up today to see if the Imax was really as bad as I thought it might be. Results= ZERO Heard on AM 11m. On the other hand 17 meters was open, and I made a few contacts on the west coast, and Nevada.

In my AM world with the Imax 2000 @ 44ft up, I haven't heard a dang thing for weeks. Not even local stuff. Still waiting patiently.

    Mobile DIY: Inverted-V

I was stationed in Mobile from 1976-1980. There was a Barbeque place across the causeway there. Best Ribs I've ever had. Every time we go through mobile, I always keep an eye out for it, but I'm sure one of those hurricanes took it out.
