On my 8010 efhw, I've been operating on 160 meter since Dec. The 7300's tuner won't do it , but the MFJ 959, tunes it to <2 swr. Works great.

I was told many Moons ago, that this is a myth. Yeah you probably shouldn't coil up coax it tight coils, but rather lay the excess in lazy 8 configuration as large as you can. Then again maybe this is BS also. Bottom line, I've never had a problem doing it this way, so I will continue to do so. 73

They make an awesome sound in the cold crisp mountain air up here. Sierra says 26.3 grains max, but the Ramshot info shows 27.0 grains as the max powder charge with a 55 grain fmj. My gun loves it. The Tac powder works better in a 72 grain bullet.
