Anyone work this contest regular power or QRP? I want your thought on strategies......:confused1: do you get better results calling and staying put or tune and pounce? Hours of operation? For bands ? If only working a 12 hr segment, etc etc?? Pls you guys that have experience contesting...

China, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Malaysia , Japan, Azores, Guam, Russia, multiples on most of these countries. Could have used a couple of these during the ARRL Dx contest as multipliers!! :D I was not able to bust the pileups with 5 watts on some but these are the ones that were 5/5 to 599! 10-12...

Philpoh....I finally got a couple good ones....pileups were bad so I could not do it QRP, used 100 watts but made it. China BD1IIJ Hong Kong VR2XMT I must have heard 5-7 china stations, 3-4 Malaysia ops, a couple Russian guys and a several from Japan, Australian and ZL's.... Also the T88XT...

Well I may re think LOTW....I was not able to get it working...resent for keys and still no LOTW. I guess it time I started all over.

10 was open all over this morning....had an hour 1/2 drive and swl'd all over 10 meters! Great openings into Russia, Eastonia, Iceland,Turkey and all across Europe. I was able to make a few contacts with 5 watts no problem got 5-5 to 5-7 reports back....Some European stations were working into...

I had issue with the keys starting up and never finished the setup! Do you use it? Do old LOTW confirmations wait for download? Will I get some old LOTW cards once I get the setup to work?

If you are near saltwater it is GREAT, park close as possible to the water without getting the auto all salted up. You'll notice an increase in signals as you get near the beach to bay front. Use a vertical antenna. I've grounded the bumper with cables into the water and really can't say it was...

Anyone getting any good Dx.....10 has been good here in Texas. EU yesterday morning was very strong....yesterday afternoon many Japanese ops booming into here all the way to South America. Looks like the SPI should be giving us some good Dx contacts ?

Got the shunt coil adjusted today! Made a few stateside contacts on 20 and a mobile to mobile in Canary Islands with 100 watts.....tunes 80 thru 17 well....Im a little high on 15 thru 10. I'll get it finalized tomorrow :drool: Will try some QRP in the morn!.....band should be wide open.
