I bought a Ft 450d new about a year ago now, which was recommended for me since I was just getting started out myself, and used it with a Imax 2k on 10m for a few months until I up graded to a general ticket...1st antenna I built was a 40m dipole, and it did really well......now I run a G5RV...

I was looking at that MFJ 939, until I talked to a guy at one of the places who sales this stuff, and was really surprised what he told me.....and had a friend who recommended this tuner to me so I did the research on it and glad I bought this one.....

Well, I had talked to the guys at a well known dealer who sales this tuner and they told me this tuner wouldn't work on a FT 450d, and told me I would need to go to another tuner, so I did some research on it and come to find out yes tuner does work on this radio, was surprised they told me it...

Update.. I took down the Imax 2k and 40m wire the other day to make room for the G5RV, I just moved the G5RV Saturday, and have both legs stretched out and bought me a LDG AT- Pro2,and it all is working great, this tuner will tune 10-80m bands, with out any problems

I did buy that LDG AT-100 Pro 2 auto tuner, and it does work on a Ft 450d radio, does a fine job, it tunes my G5RV 10-80m bands no problems...

No, don't have room for a loop, love to have one tho. But may have found away to stretch out my g5rv tho, going to try it anyways soon as it warms up.

Like to no if any you guys are running a 450d with a LDG 100 Pro 2 auto tuner ?.... Been reading up on this, and have seen where it can be done, at least that's what I have seen, just interested in knowing if any you guys are running this combo, if so how does it work for you...

Na, I tried to hang the 40m wire in a Vert, thing I ran into there, wasn't able to get the swr to drop, ended up hanging both legs in the Horz position to get it to tune....it talks good where it is...using just the tuner in the radio have a 1.5 swr on it..

I cant hang a dipole here in a vert position, too much metal around here....my 40m homebrew is 20' off the ground and the G5 is 32' off the ground.. The G5, both the legs are bent on it, not enough room to straighten them out...so may end up replacing this with a G5 Jr soon, I do have room for...

Russ, when you receive your PS, you should hook a volt meter on it and check the voltage, my PS I had to set it up to 13.8v, it's easy to do....

What tuner do you guy use if your running something like a kw, or something like a SB 220 amp?... Which automatic antenna tuner would you recommend ?...
