Heya 543_Dallas, u have a pic of the bracket and steel ring handy u used ?.... Hate to use something like a pulley and find out later if need to lower it, that it messed up, lol...thought about using a eye bolt and put that on the bracket I have and just go this route, just looking for away...

Ok, yeah been looking for Dacron rope, but don't think I'll use a pulley either, going to something else.... That dang weed eater string has been doing good, lol....

CK, I used 1/2" PVC pipe for my bones and the center conn......yea swr is running a 1.3 on 40m... This was my first dipole, just learning as I go long as it works Ill leave it .....and do better on the next one...

You don't think weedeater strings works, does a great, lol..

You all who has a tree in the yard you can use, should consider yourself lucky, lol...love to have that option here, sure would make things a lot easier... CK, I used some weedeater string and tied the center connector up on the standoff on the 40m dipole,and taped it up so it wouldn't come...

CK, yes it is to be used to keep a dipole from touching the metal mast pipe.....

Cool, I've got a 22ft long piece of drill pipe thats about 2.5" ID, looking to maybe put another pipe inside it and try getting some height, not sure what to use yet... Love to have a couple sections of tower, that be nice...

Update, I didn't buy a dipole, instead built a coax fed 40m dipole, out of wire I had left over from a project here....used 12ga solid copper wire, and went with 33ft each leg...hung it up 20ft off the ground to the center bone, and one of the legs is 16ft off the ground and the other one is...

I thought the bare wire would cause alot of noise on the radio, where insulated wire would quite the noise down....
