hi ,with production of the 575m6 finished and the mobile 104 series still available, can anyone tell me the difference in circuit diagrams? are they basically the same inside with the exception of the tone control? do either use speech compression ? thanks in advance.

a lot of people rate the avanti sigma iv highly. could it be updated? improved upon(change tuning?) and made stronger, more bullet proof? i am sure it would be a big seller. as far as the original post goes on this thread, in the days where many companies are winding down/ stopping production...

have a m+2u and jm+2u mobile mic not sure of the differences, after something to give really punchy audio on ssb, as astatic mics are hard to get and are really expensive in england at the moment,would like to use a turner hooked up to a lincoln,any thoughts?

thanks nomadradio going to have to concentrate on the coax and patch/jumper leads between equipment,even with a view to removing some from the line.the coax is from germany so should be good quality, but i agree,will have to go through everything with a fine toothcomb!!

both swr meters are rated at 1Kw max so 200w from the amp should not upset them.the strange thing is why only have a problem when the engine is off? if it was bad grounding or dodgy 259's/ bad soldering, it would give bad swr readings with or without the engine running? thanks for the thoughts...
