    Never heard a Motorola mrf455 put down, have heard techs brag on the mrf454. Never had a problem with any amps with the 455s they have stood the test of time. I do like Toshiba SRF2290 & was lucky to purchase the last 1970s NOS TX150 Palomar amp from rf parts. Great Clean Sounding audio...

    The Brand New Texas Star amps don't have "fake" Toshiba's They all come with 2SC2879 (DEI) Transistors.

    Question; If DEI 2SC2879 transistors are so bad then why would Texas Star have them in their amplifiers? Isn't this like comparing Chevrolet to Cadillacs?

    Here is a pic of the inside of my Megawatt S-700-12 I bought it directly from John Marles who builds them in California. He added his new Quiet fan circuitry to this one. I own 4 of these & have 2 of them stacked for 100 amps. Nice Units.

    Probably Noisy!? I only use Megawatt S-700-12 series power supplies. They are reliable, Clean, Stackable & work as advertised. USA Customer Service is Excellent.
