Why is the TNT 800 rated at 800 watts and an Xforce standard 1x4 rated for 1100? Also, I'm guessing I should get the low drive amp? What would be the difference between a 1x4 and a 2x4 for this setup?

I'm a Uniden/Cobra AM fan. If ya like ssb go for the Galaxy. I am going to peak/tune variable power and a rfx 75 to my new 29lx.

How would you "do up" a cobra 29? Curious caus I want to pair a new 29lx to a davemade or xforce 4 pill. Trying to decide on want I am going to do to it.

Those power MICs make a big difference, especially for stock un-tuned radios.

Here in Topeka, Kansas the local channel is 28. We have 10+ people on every night. Channel 19 is busy with truckers and some Topeka locals that don't know about 28. Don't have a ssb radio so can't say about that...

I get exactly what your saying with a tight CB budget. If a Midnight Special is what you can afford get it, better than no amp. I think the Xforce will be better made and last longer than RM amps.

I'm not an "expert" on this, you may actually be fine. I know for sure on am you'd be okay, I don't run ssb, so I'm not 100%.

You might want to look at the TNT line. I think the MS amps are class c bais and the TNTs are class b. You may have a dirtier signal on ssb with the MS. On am the amp would be great.
