if there is interference, try to find out the source of the noise. for example a fluorescent lamp, noisy motor from air conditioner or refrigerator. all kinds of interference out there. on edit; not to mention power lines and transformers..and hoping you don't have a huge industrial complex...

JB weld is not supposed to be electrically conductive, it is supposed to be electrically insulating. either the fiberglas or jb weld can be used in my opinion. likely you will put everything back together and seal well with which ever you choose to go with. then you will sleave with your pvc...

as a stargazer for many many years, i frequently see satellites in orbit in the night sky. ;) well as far as i know, they are satellites!
