too many variables... were all stations running same power and were at the same distance to you did all antennas have the same line of sight with out any obstructions, or were there more trees, buildings or elevations affecting some stations and not others. how do we know that each individual...

i understand totally....i work so much some weeks and months, that when I do get some time off for the hobby, i want to be able to have some quality time and enjoy contacts. but that is the nature of the beast. take what mother nature gives you and enjoy. good day my friend.

a lot of solar magnetic disturbances popping up from day to day... when i have time, i sit by radio and take advantage of any conditions that may occurr other wise, i'm waiting for a better day or time in the cycle. no offense meant, but try not to over think it too much

it's all about conditions. if you have them you can talk with a wet noodle as an antenna, and that is the reason we are able to use a metal can(our vehicles) so low to the ground. you can have a 200 foot high antenna and if you don't have conditions you aren't going to get anywhere.

I've heard some DX pop in and out lately, you have to stay by the radio to take advantage of the Quick openings... I'm stuck at work right now(and tomorrow) but should be on later this evening!
