I got some ice today. Antenna is a Sirio 2016 feed point 42ft.

I was going to look in side but started emailing bob and am not going to open the radio as it has been sealed by Bob so I will do as he wants for now.... Bob emailed me and wants me to put a low pass filter on and re test and email him my findings.

I use a cross needle meter, two of them one meter is between the radio and one meter is after the amp at this time when I put the tuner in line it too has a meter (cross needle). I always watch my meters when I Tx. watching for Bad Reflect, then I saw the swr, and went into caution mode.

My base antenna is good, coax, and two other radios work fine. swr is 1.0 on 27.385 R=63, X=0 with MFJ259c. But the new radio...on AM my swr is 1.2 and on SSB when sending out a two tone sound the swr is 2.5 When I tx with my old radio (Optima mk3 and dx500 ) my swr is 1.3 max. New radio came...

I have taken note of that, and read that on the MFJ site. After looking at the meany "tuners" out there I thought I'd try this one (MFJ 986).
