I found a pretty good deal I guess was not supposed to be listed...they are going to give it to me at the price listed at the time though...
D710A and G6 $949.20 which is a $67 discount...
I'm not impressed with the build quality of the D710A but the it has some things that I can't get...
Is the subject line together all that is needed for APRS/GPS functionality?
I see mention of the Green Light Labs GPS-710 but I would be more interested in this combination although more costly it is more appealing to me....
Does anyone have this combination, and how do you like it...
I have an opportunity to buy an 897D for $680 which I have been thinking about buying if you have seen my other posts...unit looks in good shape, has the box and is from a ham that I could probably meet in person to make the purchase...I was just mentioning this as a sanity check to see if you...
They are a great take anywhere radio. I have had it in my pocket and forgot it was there...there are a few flaws but for the price it's great...I'm sure that there will be more revisions of them as time goes on...I would like to see the Alpha numeric field in the software opened up and...
I own two of these on Black and one Blue. I also have a green camo shell and a red shell....you can buy every piece of this ready in a part form from the 409 shop or whole. I have had one for a month and the other for about two weeks and they have been performing quite well...Audio is good and...
I finally resolved my issue with the FT 2200...MY dad gave me a Dynamic Mic from a Kenwood to use but I needed to get a converter for it...My big need was to have up/down capability with it...DTMF not at all...good thing the new mic does not have DTMF  Most adapters that were sold by...
You can get them for about 15 bucks if you hunt around....I have had to but a bunch with 2 cars set for mobile HF and VHF/UHF and the house. some of them are designed better than others, and what's pictured is not always what comes in the mail, but I have yet to get a bad one. When you buy some...
I could wear my new Kenwood Jacket with my Yasue hat....
I think it will come down to the FT 950 or the TS 590. The prices are considerably different between the two so I am trying to find what advantages the TS 590 may have over the FT 950 (Jacket is one ) Rig control I believe will be...
What about the TS-590S or the ICOM IC-7410 They are in the same class as the FT-950 but there is only one review for the 7410 on eHam.
Remote basing a rig is important to me...if I wear to move up to the next step in Transceiver...I would like to have have the ability to remote it....the TS...
Okay.....lets say I went HF only...
If I wanted to go a bit over my abilities I would go for either the Yaesu FT950 or the Kenwood TS590S both look pretty impressive....what are some of the opinions of these two units Pros and Cons.
My interests are Remote Base, Commuter Control, Digital...
I have 2 of the UV-3R II and they are great radios....for $48 shipped....I use a 7 inch and a 17 inch after market antenna on them and they do well...Black, blue, red, yellow and camo colors if you like...Woxoun.us has the shells with new face plate and volume button for $6 shipped....The 409...
I want to buy a slightly bigger all mode HF rig but I am not into satellite though the TS 2000's other uses are of interest. I already have a 857D and an 817ND but thought about getting a 897D for the rugged aspects, portable use on camping trips and general use at the house. Is it redundant to...
Non Yaesu Bluetooth headsets for BU-1
I know I saw a list of compatible bluetooth headsets on here over a year ago, but did a search and could not find it now...either way it might be time for an update...What headsets have you been able to pair up with the Yaesu BU-1 card?

I have the HVT 400 antenna and like very much as a mobile hf antenna...I have made contacts across the country on 10,15,20,40 meters with an ft 857d and a ldg antenna tuner....if you read reviews on wham about the HVT 400 you will get a good idea of the pros and cons...don't go back too far...
Thanks Doc! This software looks like it was what I was looking for....I will download it and give it a try..I like the way it's set up....thanks again!
Yes....MH-27 8 pin round with dtmf and backlit keypad, but all I am interested in is up/down PTT with good modulation...this is not the newer style condenser dynamic mic....it's an electret mic...the round 8 pin adapters only give PTT no up/down...I'm willing to use a dynamic mic if it modulates...
Can anyone recommend an easy to use software that can take the raw APRS packet data on HF and display it. I have tried AGWPE but it is not really installing all that well on my Win 7 machine. I have a signallink USB sound interface and would like to goof around on Frequencies like 10,147.60 in a...
