I read someone else that this fool has family that are employed by eBay that help keep his feedback at 100 % and also when someone files a complaint about him, that it gets swept under the rug.
Most of the time when I hear cursing on the CB, it is usually channel 19. Though I have a time or two heard cursing on 38 lower when someone was being agitated by someone else playing their noise toys over the air.
The Midlands you mentioned were "ok" and nothing to write home about. Not because of the name but because they were based off of the Cybernet chassis. And many bargain store radios also were. (i.e. Kraco, Colt, Boman, etc)
However some Midlands did use the Uniden chassis such as the Midland...
Thanks for the advice. I looked at the combiner and I can't tell if the resistor is burnt or not. It has dark browninsh crusty deposits on the ends where the leads go in that can scrape off. My first thought was solder flux. The center doesn't show any discoloration.
The supply voltage...
I have one of these that only does 300 watts into a Bird 43 with a pep board installed and a 1000H with the end ran into a dummy load. The volts are 14.1 VDC. Drive in is 2 watts swinging to 14.
I'm wondering if this is a sign that one of the Toshiba 2879's has failed? As I understand this amp...
Funny you mention that. I've been watching some of his videos. You know how listening to someone talk it can give you negative vibes? That's what I get from him.

Wow, I cant believe nobody wanted it for $150.
I have the same radio with a solder joint issue somewhere. New out of the box, bought from coldfrontsales I think it was. I cant even get $125 for it.
Interesting info. However, I believe I've seen a few 40 channel SBE units.
As all know, 40 channels came to be Jan 1, 1977.
If they closed, did someone perhaps "buy" and continue to market the SBE name?
Well, on a better note, maybe.....just maybe....the over inflated pricing of used CB gear in the market place will come down. Not gonna need that big 8 pill for a while trying to talk over the heterodyning masses.
Will the FCC move CB? Never. Although had it not became the mess it is today, it...
You mentioned "your choice" of roger beeps. Out of curiosity, because I didn't even see a switch on the radio labeled "R.B."???
Also curious what else can you do in terms of programming?
One of these little radios look rather interesting. Sounds like you can fine tune them via your PC.
