With the output tuning capacitor still installed the outer and inner are ringing common. Do I need to unsolder one end and recheck?

Finally got some time to remove the tuning capacitor to test the relay. Results, I have continuity with the relay pulled in. Tested from input coax all the way to the input transformers. Also tested from the output transformers to the antenna socket. Every thing on the relay checks out. What...

I’ll try to be as clear as I can. Radio on driver amp on and main amp off. I get 200 watts through the main amp. Turn on the main amp and key up the relay pulls in and 0 wats out of the main amp. The tuning capacitor is soldered directly to the relay. So jumping the pins on the relay is nearly...

That is correct. But when it’s on the relay kicks in and no wattage passes through. All the drive watts disappear when it’s on.‍♂️

It is being keyed with an external keying circuit. I drive it with an older tube linear. And they are keyed with the same controller. The relay is pulling in on both driver and main amp.

99v Is a oldie but goody. I inherited one from my late uncle. Had bad frequency loss and drifting issues. Turned out to be two problems. Bad solder joint on the 10.240 crystal and the channel selector needed to be cleaned. Works great.

Update on amp. Used 6 regulators instead of 3. Do each fan has its own dedicated regulator. Also used some aluminum plates for heat sinks. Replaced the one bad pill. Seems to work well. Thanks for all the advice. Greatly appreciated. Cheers!!!

What’s your opinion on the HGs? My thoughts was buy one of the China knock offs Toshibas and hope for the best. If that don’t work. I’ll save up for a matched set of HGs.

Correction 2 resisters on the combiner are smoking. And it’s being fed in the middle of the two that’s burned. That feed comes from that transistors.‍♂️
