That's a lot of money for a CB radio especially one with the same board inside as the CRT 3900, CRT...
CHANNEL CHANGE (ENCODER) ISSUES...
Two local stations are reporting issues with the channel change on the new CRT 7900V after a few weeks of use.
When changing channel, the radio often doesn't change, jumps 2 channels or moves in the wrong direction.
I'm aware that other radios have suffered...
We've been using legal FM in the UK since 1981, and I can honestly say that FM works considerably better then AM in today's noisy environment. I can get at least double the distance on FM as I can on AM. Audio quality is also much better on FM.
Our calling channels are 14 (27.73125) and 19...
I have emailed CRT asking if they can provide a firmware update for the CRT SS7900V to enable a 5khz step (The Anytone AT-5555ii, which is the same radio, has this feature).
Can I suggest that everyone does the same and contacts CRT via this web page, strength in numbers etc ...
