    The mic-85 doesn’t use pin6 like some of the Kenwood mics do. In the service manual schematic for the mic-85 it shows nothing going to pin6….

    What goes on pin 3 of the cobra? Without anything on pin3 the radio does not receive….(no audio coming from the speaker)…. Thanks

    Thanks for the link. If that adapter will work then it has to be a fairly simple solution, such as a diode or resistor or shorting the receive wire to ground or something… Maybe someone will chime in…. Thanks.

    Thanks but I’m needing to know how to get the radio to receive since the mc85 has no receive circuit. I only want it to key up and talk. I’m not concerned with channel up and down functions or powering the mic from the radio. Thanks.

    Can anyone tell me how to wire my mc85 to my cobra 2000? The mc85 doesn’t have a receive wire to use on pin3 of the cobra. Thanks.
