That’s the response that I got from senior forum member [name deleted by admin] when expressing my opinion about his jokes mocking deaf folks.

There’s been similar posts targeting minorities and women...forum and chat.

This isn’t the first time. The board is at times ripe with discrimination, racism, and sexism.

It’s sad state or affairs for me. This should be a gentlemen’s hobby, and yet it turns into absolute filthy TRASH???

Others have posted about putting dummy loads up their rear ends and keying they mic...??? No action At all from the mods participating in that discussion.

I don’t get the funny...???

I can only ask -WTF IS HAPPENING HERE???

I do have to agree there are a few offensive and inappropriate responses on the site but It appears, to me, that there has been fewer and fewer of these responses. Making fun of a person with a disability it not cool!!

The Prepper forum to me was notorious for this type of talk. That was my observation. It’s been cleaned up thanks to the mods. Also there is a sticky on no political threads on the open forums.

To me it seems better today because it was really a turn off for me. But there are quite a number of cool members here! Don’t let someone ruin your experience. You can always report it to a mod. Just my $.02

But..the forum seems to have ZERO consequences For this behavior....especially if one is a part of the daily games. Those folks are special and have great liberty in shitting on others.

I do believe a member or two are not with us anymore for whatever reason. Mods don’t have to tell us. I used to be a mod on a car forum. First a warning was given. Then if behavior continued a 2 week ban then the ultimate IP ban. To me it does seem like members have been banned. I can’t say for sure but that’s what appears to me.

I deleted the name above since it was inappropriate to bring it into the public domain.

First off I have seen ZERO reported posts regarding such claims about "bullying".

Second I do not and simply CANNOT read EVERY post on this forum. That's why the REPORT POST function is there.

Thirdly do not bring stuff like this into the open. There are better alternatives such as PM discussions with the individual who hurt your feelings or reporting the offending post, or PM an admin. In the open usually turns into something that gets out of hand. Been there,seen that far too many times.

Fourth what is going on? You are simply seeing a cross section of society as a whole. There are saints and assholes EVERYWHERE. We are all adults and sometimes jokes or comments may take on an adult tone. Some people get offended by the least little thing while other not at all. There has to be a balance somewhere.
