1 farad capacitor install

Howdy, I'm going to buy a 1 farad capacitor to hook up to my x400. What I need too know is, is it ok to be left hooked up while using in the house connected to the power supply? It'll be slip seated from the big truck to the pickup to the house (power supply). Also, if I got a 1.5 farad capacitor, would that be overkill. The only reason I ask is, who knows what kind of power I might be running in the near future...

Oh ya, one more question. Is 4awg wire ok to use on a 1 or a 1.5 farad cap? Or will I need larger.

Thanks, Hossless

Hossless, just thought I'd throw in my 1/2 cents worth on talk back. I use a "$10 E-Bay special" Cobra handheld and headphones when I need talk back to make adjustments, then when I'm done I throw the handheld back in the drawer and dont have to wory about feed back from a built in talk back.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)">
