Long day away from home. Turned radio about 10:00 tonight and heard one distant voice. He was in Australia and responded to the pleading call from my feeble station. Logged him on QRZ.

A good clear 15 min qso to Dubbo Australia
At 10pm eastern US time on 28.337
Surprisingly i was on my sirio vertical instead of the homebrew dipole that usually rakes in the long distance stations

I made several different states last night over a few hour period.
Am suprised how much the skip jumps around on 10 meters .
Also suprised i can talk to northern states with the nullb side of my dipole Thats facing east to west

Thanks 357. Mines mediocre compared to some of stations ive spoke with.
Hopefully we can chat over the air one day too.
We may be to close for skip to help us. We shall see!
The SSB portion has been pretty slow in my neck of the woods for several weeks now. Only sporadic domestic traffic mostly in the evening. The part I enjoy most, International DX has dried up. C'mon Sun, work with us here!
