Could it be your radio? A 102 should be a very excellent antenna on recieve. Try another radio and see if maybe that is it. Let us know

I have a 102 inch whip mounted on the trunk of my Ford Taurus and the standing wave is excellent on it, but for some reason it doesn't recieve like it should. I can go across town here (Saginaw, MI) and not hear anyone that loud and Saginaw isn't a very big city so I don't know what the problem is. Any help would be great.
