Right now I have a 48" mag mount radio shack antenna on my little geo's roof. I am wanting to go with a 102" whip off the rear bumper, and run the coaxial threw the floor so I can use my hatchback. I am just looking at using a radio shack antenna again I am not a huge CB'er so I think it will do. Do I need a coil at the bottom of the antenna or do you just screw the antenna on to the bumper mount? How much better would my reception be from upgrading from a 4' to an 8 1/2' antenna?
