2112 if you pose a good question you are more likely to get a good answer. What are you asking? What do you mean, "hook the coax up to a 10k gamma right to the gamma or on the side were the seramic insulator side?"
Are you bypassing the connector like Jo-Gunn and Signal Engineering do?
The shield goes to the boom and the center conductor goes to the END of the gamma tube. This is assuming the driven element is shorted to the boom. You could also hook the shield directly to the boom to element clamp.
If your talking about the Maco 10k gamma. Connect the hot to where the ceramic insulator is on the outside to the gamma and the ground (shield) to the element. A good place is where the bracket from the gamma connects to the element.
