All day i heard KQ2H loud and clear in the Bahamas, ive always worked 20, 12 and 6m DX SSB, and a little 2m FM, never worked a repeater, never was able to hit one from here

so on 10m i was scanning and found i could here Kq2h

I set receive to 29.620 transmit to 29.520

Cts to 146.2

and the rptr button to - on the screen

radio i was using was an FT 847 by the time i set up everything conditions had worsened and couldn't hear it

Did i do this right?

any advice? anyone else hear this repeater at a decent distance? i found an old thread from 2007 on here, but nothing recent

i was thinking about a long boom 2m yagi to see if i could hit Florida on 144.
