11 meter is very quiet?

27515 Caribbean coming in strong all morning, QSO with 702 in Jamaica , lot of stations coming in, hard to separate, had QSO with Carley in Chihuahua desert Mexico yesterday but died out, the field day had a lot of operators on the radio

I usually hear nothing but FL, GA, TX, NC, NY, here in NE Ohio. I have never heard anything from across the big pond, only the Gr Lakes. I t seems I mostly get N/S skip, rarely E/W.

There's been some propagation from Europe to your area for sure but it's few and far between; feast or famine.

As far as the antenna...sure, always better. But....I worked those on the map from my mobile, so anything is possible.

Yep nothing but Spanish speaking stations right now, all other went quiet today and yesterday, last night however there were so so many stations coming in we couldn't find a channel to ragchew the with the locals on the 40 channel mobil we keep at the hunting shack

Yup. Until you to move to Chattanooga for a few weeks and stay by the river.

Some areas better than others, obviously. I’m always amazed by the activity out of central Tennessee. Skip on 19 or otherwise.
