142 gtl vco issue

I have 2 142gtls same chasis pc -385ag one has voltage on vco and other one doesnt any help thanks.

Then how did the radio work; you stated before on the other thread of the same name that the radio was working. If C73 was toast and the VCO was not getting voltage; then the radio would not work.
Please respond.

i'm still not sure how C73 being shorted caused the VCO not to be getting voltage?

My other thread has been deleted so I submitted a new thread with some testing I did .

Cap goes to one of the pins on the vco chip followed the trace.

I test every component around the vco area found that cap faulty

LOL sorry about the doubt kaos. I was looking at the schematic for a 148GTL. DOH!
