What a thrashing on the mountain this afternoon. 45 mph gusts at least. Think I've figured out how to stabilize it in high winds using a gin pole(being a sailor I'm very familiar with that)off the back with 3 other guide lines. 2 to the sides(ends of bumper) and one to the front of the cap. Hit SF CA but antenna was swinging elliptically 15 to 20 degrees. Promptly un-stepped the mast before it snapped off coming crashing down on the truck. NOT COOL!

It will add some time to the setup but worth the added insurance policy. Up high this time of year it's usually blowing at a stiff gale. Will post some pictures when done. Work on it tomorrow a.m.
