ok going to try an idea
little input before i smoke the stereo

in this 2009 peterbilt it has a somewhat stock stereo with a Aux 1/8 inch input plug

im going to come out of the cb with a mono 1/8 plug and go into a stereo 1/8 inch plug
will take both the hot sides of the stereo plug and solder them together
so it will pick up the 2 sides both left and right

any thoughts on this???
quick reply will be nice i have the truck here for about 2 hours then he will be back to pick it up

You'd probably be better off making a T on the output of the cb and then running that into the input of the stereo amp, you'll most likely fry the amp the way you're talking about.

And if you're talking about the stereo/mono adapter, all it does is short the two stereo contacts into one mono.

If you're worried about burning anything up, try a 1:1 audio transformer in that line, the 'Rat Shack' has those too.

Oh, I'd also tell him that it was an 'either/or' type thingy. Can't listen to both stereo and radio input at the same time. The Stereos with an 'AUX' audio input usually take care of that, so telling him that would probably be unnecessary. Won't hurt though.

I did this in My new ford explorer.I bought the adapter from radioshack.I have a jack in my center console to hook an aux. i-pod or whatever.I bought a 3 foot jumper with a mono jack on each side and an adapter for the console side to convert the mono to stereo. I then use the aux function on my car stereo and wallllaaaa,Kick but surroundsound out of a cb radio.
