I have made a few calls on 28360 with no replies throughout the day ...guess the band has been dead most of the day
the ole copper freq. i park myself there on sundays from time to time. haven't heard a copper member in years.
on saturday, in the AM, it started out with europe, went west coast, then carribbean, back west...then the e skip started rolling. all by 11am. made quite a few 10m e skip contacts while mobile, including on 28.360. checked 6m....on my 10m antenna. the 706mk2g swr meter showed infinity swr with my predator 10k when i keyed on 50.135, however it also showed forward output on the PO meter. so i made a call. and got called next in line in the pileup. gotta put a 6m antenna on the jeep
so i ran home & talked 6m on & off til midnite!!!! yelled quite a few times on 28.360 from the base & heard nothing there. i'll be mobile next sunday, 'len.
rare day off from work today. base mobile, 615am thru right now, 10m all but dead all day, 6m was dead all day, & 11m....nobody too strong, but west coast, caribbean & right now e skip from OH & IN with jamaica too
