Just want to fill you all in on the 2985DX situation. I contacted ranger and they sent ups to pic it up at there expence and check it out again and put it on priority status.

Well after another three/four weeks I got it back. the problem is fixed and it is not dimming a all any more.

The work order said they replaced the transformer because it was bad. :roll: I tried to tell them that the transformer was acting like it was bad plus they had to replace the power pass transitors.

I just hope it lasts for a while with no more problems. I hate being without my radio.
