The only thing I had to mitigate on mine was the obnoxiously loud internal fan noise, this fan being over the power supply unit cooling it. I added a 100ohm pot in the 12V lead to the fan and mounted on rear to turn the speed down. Still moves plenty of air and quiets it considerably but added some foam insulation on front bottom and left side of unit to help block the remaining noise from firing out the front on the rig and getting into the mic audio, assuming a power desk mic is used. An un-noise-abated unit 95Dx can be spotted on the radio a mile away by that damn fan noise coming through the audio. Otherwise good radio. Check check on not peaking out the SSB power adjustment inside, it will trip a protection circuit and shut the radio down on peaks.
