Reminds me of a guy who worked at a CB shop in the back of a chrome shop in Winchester KY years ago.

His eyesight was too poor to do receiver alignment. But it was good enough to solder in the Workman preamp circuit board. That was his answer to receiver performance. Don't touch any adjustments, but install the preamp.

Had a sack of them we took out of dissatisfied customers' radios.

Shoulda written him a commission check for all the business we did as a result.
