Everyone on ssb sounds like there speaking through a device that's used by people who've had there larynx removed.I can't really tell if stations on AM sounding any better because there's very little skip and those that are coming in are very weak. there are no locals on and I don't know if there's a problem with my radio or some type of strange phenomenon. can anyone tell me if they are having the same issues or if I may have a problem with the receive on my radio. I'm transmitting and no other different things notice except this strange wavy type of receive. Swr is fine output normal.

The band was DEAD today in my location. No skip at all, (unusual as it is usually very active). Guess you'll have to check it out tomorrow.

Ok. Finally a coupe of locals to test my test my recive. Everyone sounds excellent on am and ssb. I also sandbagged on a few stations about 70 miles away and thay also sounded excellent. I spoke to a station about 50 miles away and asked him if he had any strange recive from skip stations. He did and exsplaned this was a rare atmospheric anomaly. Now I don't know if this is true but I can say from an exspeariance I had about four months ago while using my Washington. I put a Palomar 300a power supply right on top of my Washington and no matter how I tried to clarify incoming stations thay sounded very similar too what I exspearianced today. My knowledge of the hobby is limited but if I could describe it as some sort of electrical interface . I could tell I was clarifying stations correctly and all though got them dialed in I couldn't shake that wield audio wave. I guess I would use the word osolating voice carectoristics of all the stations I was reciving. I was concerned but after hearing non skip as clearly as I always do im now very interested in getting down to what this was. I hope other's also exspeareanced this. If not I hope someone can exsplan what I and the other station was hearing..I'm accually hopeing I never hear it again. I will know tomorrow. As im expecting to turn the radio on much earlier than today. Hopefully giving me a much better chance to get the strong eaily to late afternoon excellent conditions. THANKS
